Terms of Annexation

Welcome to the official Terms of Annexation for the Republic of Petoria. Our Supreme Leader, Peter Griffin, has set forth the following conditions for any land to be annexed into Petoria. These terms are non-negotiable, and compliance is mandatory (or strongly encouraged, at the very least).

1. Proximity to Petoria

Any land within a 100-yard radius of Petoria (also known as Peter’s backyard) is eligible for annexation. If your property is close enough for Peter to throw a rock and hit it, congratulations—you’re in the annexation zone!

2. Pool Access

All annexed territories must grant unrestricted pool access to Petorian citizens. Pools are to remain available for lounging, cannonballs, and other leisurely activities at all times. Any resistance to this rule may result in a strongly worded letter (or a visit from Peter himself).

3. BBQ Rights

Once annexed, all BBQ facilities on the property become part of the Republic of Petoria. This includes grills, smokers, and any secret family recipes. Petorian citizens are entitled to use these facilities for impromptu BBQs whenever they see fit.

4. Snack Stockpile

All annexed territories are required to maintain a sufficient stockpile of snacks, particularly nachos, chips, and soda. Inspections may be conducted randomly to ensure compliance. Citizens are encouraged to keep the snack cabinet fully stocked at all times.

5. Display of the Petorian Flag

Every annexed property must proudly display the Petorian flag, as designed by Peter. Flag inspections will be conducted occasionally, and any failure to display the flag may lead to the annexation of additional property (or simply a strong recommendation to get a flag).

6. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any disputes regarding annexation, Peter Griffin himself will preside as judge, jury, and, if necessary, cannonball contestant. His decisions are final, and any attempts to appeal will likely be ignored (or result in an invitation to BBQ).

Fun Fact: Petoria once attempted to annex Quahog but was met with resistance. We’ve since decided that Joehio and nearby pools are far better suited to Petoria’s needs.
